It is still Spring right? I’ve been hoarding this FREE spring printable for a month. In fact, it has been over a month since my last blog post! I can’t believe it. I guess life kind of got in the way and blogging got pushed aside. I’ve still been busy working on projects in the house and blessed to be busy with so many e-designs these last few months. My free time outside of work has been spent working on those and I absolutely love it.
I originally had this post planned for the first week of Spring, errr better late than never right? But now at this time in my life, this quote means more than ever. A few months ago, when I really set my sights high for this blog I went into it hard and worked by buns off. My efforts paid off (literally and monetarily) but I felt exhausted. It was like having two full time jobs.
I was looking at other blogs and thinking to myself “I need to be doing what she’s doing” or “oh look at that, she’s so successful she can quit her job to blog”. I started comparing and started getting sad. This little blog has grown so much this past year, but I know it can be more than I ever dreamed of, if I just put my heart and soul into it. With my absence this last month, I realized I REALLY LOVE blogging and I MISSED it.
I missed sharing my DIY projects and decorating updates in our home (those didn’t stop, they are still on Instagram). I missed checking my stats to see how many of you read my post. I missed seeing the comments and interacting with my readers.
So now I’ve refocused my attention back to the blog and started a little something called Blog Goals. It is several e-courses that will teach me everything I need to know about being a successful and smart blogger. I plan on blogging smarter, not harder and taking this blog to the next level. I can’t wait to see what happens! Big changes have already started happening behind the scenes this week and hopefully by the end of the month I can get back to posting more frequently. (Ps I will be writing a post soon on things I wish I knew when I started blogging and what I’ve learned so far if you’re interested.)
I learned this month that everyone has a different journey. That blogger that quit her job to blog full time might be on her fifth year, the one that seems to be doing it all perfectly might in fact be doing it all wrong. Never compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. Just BLOOM.
